English Department

 

It has been an interesting term switching from online learning to face to face teaching again, however students and the English staff concluded that being in the classroom brings so many more benefits to student learning. Year 11 and Year 12 students were glad to be back where they enjoyed many dynamic discussions over interesting texts such as The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood or the poetry of Oodgeroo Noonuccal. 

In addition to all the change this term, the English Faculty have been hosting Paige Neilson, a practicum student from CSU. She has injected enthusiasm about Shakespeare to Year 10 Jade as well as guiding Year 7 through completing their first discursive text. We wish her all the best for her future career and know the future is in great hands with dynamic teachers like Ms Neilson!
