Getting Back-to-Basics

It has been wonderful to see so many students ‘getting back-to-basics’ during the second round of remote learning. Here are just some examples of the extracurricular activities that some of the students have been getting up to;

Alexandra Norbury has been busy sewing away in her spare time and has made a lovely tote back and pencil case, complete with a working zipper!

Darcy Sherman has become quite the chef and has recently made 2 loaves of delicious bread. One was a plain loaf and the other a rosemary loaf (yum!). He has also been treating his family to home-cooked meals, with his amazing bao buns ‘taking the cake’.

Paras Kennedy has impressively taught herself how to play the piano and has mastered the song, ‘Shotgun’, by George Ezra. You may be able to get a preview of her performance in next weeks assembly!

Inquiry/Religion

In Inquiry, we have been exploring how timelines can help us put events in chronological order. We created timelines to show the achievements of different explorers and have also begun to learn the stories of explorers like Vasco da Gama and Christopher Columbus.

In Religion we have been learning about the early Church and how it began. We explored the story and symbols of Pentecost, which is sometimes called the birthday of the church, and responded in our own ways.
