Visual Art News

During the break, two Year 11 Visual Art students, Sam Jensen and Joe Cranitch, participated in the Art Inquirer critical art writing programme for senior Visual Art students. Facilitated by Flying Arts, the programme was conducted virtually across 5 days and will culminate in the publication of a professional art journal, in which a piece of writing by Joe and Sam will appear with the work of other students from around the state who also took part.

As part of their current unit of work, “Art as Code” Year 11 students attended a presentation with guest speaker, John Graham, expert and avid collector of popular culture items. The students were provided with an insight into the art of collecting which will inform the experimental work they are currently producing as part of their practical folios.
