Outer Banks Review

Outer Banks first appeared on our screens as a Netflix original on April 15, 2020 and since then has been heard and binged around the world. Think twice before stereotyping this show as cliché or corny (I did), because when you watch it, you’re hooked straight away. 

 This series is packed with action, adventure, drama, comedy, romance and suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat until you’re literally standing up. It perfectly captures the teenage adventure we all want to have. 

 The story begins with 4 friends, John B, JJ, Kiara and Pope, who live in a small town on the water called Outer Banks. The story is based around John B’s father that mysteriously disappeared while looking for the Royal Merchant, a sunken ship that carries $4oo million in gold underwater.  

The team must put their friendship and bravery to the test as they track down the royal merchant, but an unsuspected plot twist sends John B and his friends into a life-threatening situation. I absolutely loved this series and can’t wait for season 2.  

I rate it a 9/10.
