Dauntless: Shape of the Horizon

Dauntless is a free to play RPG made by a well known game developer, Epic Games. It is available on console, PC, and now Nintendo Switch. Dauntless came out on the 21st of May 2019. Dauntless is about a world called The Shattered Islands where floating Islands are held in the sky by a mystical energy, aether. 

Your job is to slay these creatures called behemoths, Colossal creatures feeding on the elemental aether, giving them special abilities. You have a choice of 7 different weapons. You can use a sword, doing normal damage, a war pike, dealing wound damage, a war axe, dealing massive part damage, a hammer, dealing stagger damage, chain blades, used for hit and run, repeaters, good for dealing damage at long range and buffing your team mates, and aether strikers, fast hitting, dealing stagger damage. 

With the damage, there is four different types. Body damage, which does damage to the behemoths health, part damage, which does damage to different parts of the behemoth until is breaks, giving you materials to craft different weapons and armour, wound damage, which opens a wound on a body part, dealing more part damage, and stagger damage, which causes a behemoth to stagger for a short while, allowing you to deal massive amounts of damage, uninterrupted. You can also interrupt a behemoth while its attacking when red anger lines appear above its head. With weapons and armour, you can craft different armour and weapons, giving you buffs and more power over the element it is best against, but don't think that fire armour is better against frost behemoths, its actually the opposite, fire armour is best against fire behemoths, same with all, and weapons are the opposite. 

For my opinion on the game, I think that it’s a great game for people who just want to relax and have fun with their friends, without stressful situations, like other competitive games
