Wellbeing

Hello Everyone,

Hopefully, you have settled into the second home learning cycle and are appreciating the opportunity for teachers to be working directly with your children.

At Holy Family, we are aware that home learning can be difficult, and may trigger some anxiety for children. We are always here to support you. If you are concerned about your child’s wellbeing we encourage you to speak with your child’s teacher. I am also available to discuss your child’s social and emotional wellbeing and if necessary refer you to Dominique Furet, our school psychologist. Last term she spoke with a number of parents to reassure them and make suggestions about how to support their children during home learning.

Please look after yourselves. You are so important to your children right now.

One of the things that make us smile at school, is watching the children here interact with one another. In a very busy day, play breaks can be a time for teachers to stop, reset and take joy in conversations and observations.  As you can see from the photos on this page capturing moments of play reminds us why we are all here.

For those of you at home – remember to stop and play. Take joy in the interactions you have with your children that are about things other than words and numbers.
