Principal's Report

by David Lord

Principal's Message

You are probably aware of the announcement by the Premier on Sunday of new restrictions across Victoria. He has announced that Tuesday is a pupil free day across the state. We are awaiting further detail from the Department of Education and will communicate anything relevant as soon as it arrives.

Timeline

Monday August 3rd - all students in years 7-12 will be able to access remote learning via google classrooms as per our normal timetable

Tuesday August 4th –Pupil Free Day for the whole of Victoria – no classes on google classroom

Wednesday August 5th – classes resume for years 7-12 via google classrooms

Our school remains closed due to a positive COVID-19 case. While DHHS investigates, all staff and students are asked to stay at home until further advice is provided. We will immediately communicate any advice when it arrives. Until we get confirmation from DHHS that we can re-open, we aren’t allowed to have any staff, students or community members on site. This means that unfortunately students cannot access their lockers at this time.

We have told you everything that we know. We would like to again thank our whole community for the cooperation, kindness and care everyone is showing. If you need to contact the school the office will be open remotely during normal business hours and can be contacted via email staughton.co@education.vic.gov.au or telephone on 97434622.

DAVID LORD

Principal

We, at Staughton College, would like to show our respect and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which our school is situated, of elders past and present. We extend a warm welcome to everyone who visits our school.
