Year 7 to 10 Progress Reports

These Progress Reports will available on Compass on Friday. There will be a Compass post when they are released. Please look through them with your child, and discuss with them any positives or areas for improvement which are identified. If you have any questions relating to these reports please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s Year Level Coordinator.

Year 12 VCE

Whilst learning remotely presents challenges to students in all year levels, students completing Unit 3 and 3 VCE studies face some unique to their situation.

VCAA and the school recognise these, and have in place supports to help mitigate these, including:

Special consideration. VCAA has stated that all students in Victoria will receive special consideration in relation to their results. The school is collecting information that will support this process. Further details will be provided as they become available.

GAT Preparation.  VCAA have stated the GAT will be used to help moderate student results. To support students to complete the GAT, scheduled for 7 October, the Senior Sub School are running information sessions on both the written and multiple choice sections. Practice for both will be provided.

Study Skills. The Senior Sub School, together with EqualEd, are running a study skills program to support students to use their time efficiently to prepare for exams.

Assessments. Teachers have been able to plan for the majority of assessments to be completed on line this term. In some subjects, however, it is necessary for students to attend onsite for essential assessments to occur. This is predominately in VET and performance subjects. Where this occurs, strict health and safety procedures will be followed. Students and parents will be notified directly if this is to occur.

Practice Exams. We plan on running practice exams in all subjects. The plan is for a 4 days exam period. This would be over the last 2 days of the school holidays, Thursday 1 and Friday 2 October, and the first 2 days of Term 4, Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 October. Again, strict health and safety procedures will be in place. Further details will be communicated closer to the date.
