Principal's Report

Courage, Faith, Love
Dear Parents and Friends of St Agatha's Primary School,
Welcome to Term 4! Spring has finally sprung and we are enjoying the blossoms that are out in force. They look absolutely stunning!
It was wonderful to see all the children return this week. They were so excited to return to school and keen to reconnect with their friends. Some children were a little tired as they had not quite adjusted to the Daylight Savings Time. It can be challenging to readjust and get back into the routine of early nights for school!
I managed to only go out fishing once in the holidays. Unfortunately, we did not catch a fish but did manage to assist three young men whose boat had capsized in the rough waters. It was quite the adventure for all of us and I am sure those young men will not quickly forget it! I am glad that we were there to help out!
Over the holidays, we had a lot of work completed around the school. Many parents have commented at how lovely the grounds are looking. We have more projects planned for the next holidays to further improve the school.
On Wednesday this week, the Year Five students took part in a day with the Year 10 students from St Peter's exploring the concept of Servant Leadership. When I asked the Year Five students what they thought servant leadership meant they told me it meant leading without being bossy and making people do things but leading to serve others and being there to support and help. Our Year Five students are well on the way to becoming the new leaders of our school! Later in the term, they will present why they should be considered for a particular leadership role in the school. I look forward to sharing this with you all and working with these amazing students! Please read the RE News page for more information and photos of the Year Fives at work.
Last term we ended with Footy Day! It was a great success and I would like to make a special thanks to the parents who helped with the lunch! The students really enjoyed getting into the spirit of Footy Day with their footy lunches! Thanks to Mr V and the Year Six students who organised and ran the footy clinics. Here are some photos of the day. Please go to the STAC page for a reflection written by our students and more photos!
I am looking forward to the wonderful term ahead and am especially looking forward to the Arts Week that will occur in Week 3.
If you have not had the opportunity to complete the camp opinion survey I urge you to do so. Is should only take a few moments of your time. SURVEY LINK
Have a great week,
