City Edge Student Leadership Summit

On Thursday 8th September Zoe Elliott, Sophie Hart, Gabrielle Simcox and Elsie Falkiner (MGC’s Sustainability student leadership team) attended Albert Park College for the City Edge Student Leadership Summit.

Albert Park College’s school captain organised this event for student leadership teams from local schools, with the intent of sharing what they have been doing and learning from each other. A big focus for each school was on Sustainability. Students were able to learn what each school is doing in this space, and the wonderful Sustainability captains from MGC proudly represented our school, sharing the work they have been doing in this area. 

Elsie Falkiner had this to share about her experience at this event: 

“The City Edge Forum was a very enjoyable and rewarding day we spent at Albert Park College. Getting to meet students from other schools and hear about their initiatives, was really interesting as well as gave us many ideas as to what we could be doing here at MGC next year. We look forward to meeting with these other schools in the future and strengthening our relationships!”
