QUALITY CATHOLIC EDUCATION AWARD
QUALITY CATHOLIC EDUCATION AWARD
Earlier this year, Kieran Lobo led a student initiative called Stepping Stones to give homeless people of Perth access to the resources and support they need to apply for jobs and attend interviews in an effort to secure jobs as a first step out of unemployment and homelessness.
In Term 3, Stewardship Captains Kieran and Alice Main held a Thrift Market which aimed to raise awareness of the environmental impact that clothes have as landfill each year. The market also encouraged students to be stewards of the Earth by recycling their clothes and providing clothes for the homeless and marginalised.
The College nominated Kieran's Stepping Stones program for a Quality Catholic Skills Award in the Student Lead Initiative category and his project received a Merit award for runner-up in his category.
The College proudly presented this award to Kieran at yesterday's Whole School Assembly. Congratulations.
