MADD WEEK
MR JEREMY WOOD - CURRICULUM LEADER ARTS
ZOE BACON & DAKOTA JAGER - ARTS COMMITTEE CAPTAINS
Term 3 is a time to celebrate everything Arts. Each day the Arts Committee scheduled a daily competition and lunchtime activity. Our competition winner Jasper Roda received a $100 voucher from Laneway Music.
Students had fun dancing, painting, printing, and jamming during the lunchtime activities which included; Just Dance (some staff members were spotted cutting Footloose), an impromptu jam session, foam printing, mindful colouring, and MacKillop’s Got Talent (MGT). It was great to see so many students participating in the lunchtime activities and our MGT participants were a real surprise in terms of their talents and organisation. Participants included Lakeisha O’Sullivan (My Heart Will Go On’), Ned Ryan (You Got A Friend In Me), Catherine Morpeth (Requiem), the very talented Alex Carroll (Recorder), Holly Ayars (Piano Recital), Deaken Fawcett (Johnny Cash), Benji Anderson (Stand Up Comedy), and a select group of Year 12s (Clapping song). The event finished with very special guests “The Haz-Beans” (Staff Act) which literally brought the house down. I wonder what they will do next year?
A huge thank you to our sponsors; Laneway Music, Headspace (Kirsty Jacobs, Connor Gibbins) and Youth Inc. We are very grateful for your kind donations and helping us to make our MADD Week so special.
