Prayer

God, Our Father, we give you thanks for the life of Mr Timmins

Like you, he was a teacher, and he gave of himself to his students and to our school.

Comfort his family and be very close to them in their sadness and loss.

Bless the students whom he taught,

and help them to have pride in all they learned from him.

Help us to always care for each other in our school.

We place Mr Timmins into your loving hands, Lord,

and ask You to receive him into your heavenly Kingdom

where there is no more suffering and no more grief.

Hold him in Your loving embrace

And may we be reunited one day in eternal happiness.

May perpetual light shine upon Mr Timmins,

May he rest in peace.

Prayer Vigil - Thursday 5.00 pm

The College is very grateful to Fr David Ranson who has offered to lead a Prayer Vigil for Mr Timmins this Thursday 20 October in Our Lady of Dolours Church commencing at 5.00 pm.  Parking will be available in the College grounds.

All are welcome to join in these prayers.

As further details of the funeral service come to hand, the College will communicate these.

HSC Progresses

We are half-way through the HSC examinations now and our students have been generally satisfied with the papers and that they have been able to apply their learning to them. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Tomorrow (Thursday) is Mathematics and Friday is Drama and Legal Studies.

Founder's Day              Friday 25 November

Each year, the College spends a community day at Oxford Falls to raise awareness of social justice issues and to raise funds for our partner communities that we support and in particular: St Joseph’s Walgett, St Mary’s Bowraville, the Glen Centre in the Central Coast and Callan Services in PNG through the Edmund Rice Foundation.

This year, our special guest will be Mr Phil Glendenning from the Edmund Rice Centre at Homebush along with some refugees who are supported through the Centre.

We would welcome any assistance and donations from members of the community towards the lunch for the boys and our visitors in support of such things as the BBQ, drinks, food and catering.

If you can help please contact either Mr Couani, Mr Mulheron (AP – Mission and Identity) or Mr Skeen (Business Manager).

2023 Student Leaders' Investiture

We are holding our 2023 Student Leaders' Investiture next Monday, 24 October, in the Concourse.   It is a special event for all our Class of 2023 students, where they will receive their senior ties and badges along with our Student Leadership Team being acknowledged and presented to the College community.

The ceremony will commence at 1.30 pm and will be livestreamed.  The link for the livestream is below.

Year 9 Camps

Our first three Year 9 camps at our Workul Koo Retreat Centre at Wamberal have been an outstanding success.  The Rites of Passage program that the students are participating in has been very well received.  The camps are continuing this week, with two more homerooms attending the three days.  The changing weather has not stopped the students from participating in the paddle boarding, swimming, hiking and other activities. Our thanks once again goes to the Homeroom teachers who are attending the camps.
