Boarding News

Mrs. Kathryn Searle - Head of Boarding

It is wonderful to have everyone back in the Boarding House for the final term of the year and welcome to our three new students:  Tailie’e and Jessie in Year 8 and Luka in Year 10.

Please be advised that the College Shop’s only method of payment is credit card (Visa and Mastercard) which must be paid at the time of purchase.  There is no longer the facility for purchases to be charged to a student account or for credit card details to be held on file. Cash is not accepted.

Our Year 12s currently have mixed emotions as they come to the end of their formal schooling next Tuesday and enter study block.  Please know that a staff member will always be present in the Boarding House during the day while the girls are in-house.  We are here to support the girls through their last six weeks in boarding and look forward to celebrating their journey.

Next Thursday I will depart on our last marketing trip for the year to attend the Boarding Expo in Mt Isa.  This expo will be attended by most boarding schools in Queensland and is an opportunity for us to showcase Clayfield College and our many offerings to North West Queensland.  Dr. Cousins will join me on tour.

Our social calendar is in full swing for the term with our first boarding school dance on the agenda for this Friday night.  As COVID restrictions have eased, we are looking forward to a term with many social activities.
