We are learning to solve worded multiplication problems.

VOCABULARY

Multiplication: The repeated addition of the same number, for example 4 + 4 = 8. This is two groups of 4 which can also be written as 2 x 4 = 8.

Repeated addition: Adding the same number over and over again. Eg 4+4+4=12

Equal groups: The same amount of something in groups, for example 5 packets of lollies and there are 10 lollies in each.  

Number sentence: A number equation eg. 4x3=12
