Classroom & Curriculum News

Stephanie Alexander Garden Program

On Wednesday 12th October, we had our Confirmation Workshop and Information Night for 2022. We welcomed all families onsite to share this special meeting together as a whole group which was lovely, something we have not done for 2 years. Our facilitator Maria Forde joined us online. as the extreme weather and her home location, did not permit her to meet us in person. Never the less, we had an informative and pleasant night deepening our knowledge and understanding of the Holy Spirit and the Sacrament of Confirmation.

We also look forward to meeting Bishop Martin Ashe, who is visiting us on Tuesday 18th October. He will meet the Year 6 Confirmation candidates and school staff on this day.

Please keep all these students in your thoughts and prayers as they continue to prepare for their Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday 4th November at 7pm

1/2L's visit from Millie & Penny!

Last Friday I took my spiney leaf stick insects, Millie and Penny to school for a special show and tell.I told 1/2L about them and everybody was interested in learning about them. My class liked penny alot she is the smaller one, some kids like Millie. I got them for my birthday this year they live forabout a year they feed on fresh gum leaves every morning you need to spray them. Adult spiney leafinsects are more like leaves then sticks, however. And are very hard to spot in the wild as they hangmotionless from the foliage.
