Tabloid Sports Day

On Monday 22 November the whole school participated in a tabloid sports carnival. The  program involved students moving through a number of different activities faciliated by Andrew from Gecko Sports.

The Junior School enjoyed the last session of the day and were treated to some rare Melbourne sunshine! After enthusiastically participating in the different activity stations, several trips to the drink taps were required for essential hydration to cope with the afternoon heat!

The 'Ninja Warrior' course challenged students to balance across a rainbow coloured beam, carefully avoiding the lava below! Students bear crawled over treacherous terrain and tested their speed and coordination on the agility ladder. 

Mrs Lee led students through a number of relay challenges but the  highlight of the day was unquestionably 'Tug of war'.  An intense contest ensued when Mrs Lee of Kurrajong threw down the challenge to Ms Crookes of Waratah! 

Waratah and Timbarra put up a brave defence but were ultimately defeated by Kurrajong and Mungarra.
