Government rules around covid safety in schools are often changing.  Here's the most up to date information relevant to schools as at November 5.    Contact the school if you require further updates or clarification.

Graduations and End-of-Year Celebrations

We have been working on plans for end of year graduations and presentations for quite some time now.  Our intention and hope is that we can hold an event or events that every member of the school community can participate in freely.  Vaccination rules and other Covid restrictions are certainly making that challenging.  We do expect a new set of rules to be announced ahead of the November 24 vaccine 'milestone.'  Perhaps we'll have greater clarity then about what will be possible.

Visitor access

Parents and visitors are now permitted at school.  Parents and carers who enter school buildings must also have had at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine and must have had two doses of COVID-19 vaccine by 29 November 2021 or have a valid medical exception.  Parents and carers attending school sites for drop off and pick up who do not enter school buildings do not need to comply with vaccination requirements.

Face Masks

As directed by the Victorian Chief Health Officer, the following advice applies to all school settings:

  • School staff and secondary school students aged 12 or older must always wear a face mask indoors at school, unless a lawful exception applies.
  • Face masks are required for students in Grade 3 to Grade 6, only when indoors on school premises, unless an exception applies.
  • Face masks are highly recommended for students in Prep to Grade 2.

Face masks are mandatory for all school staff and school students aged 12 or older when travelling to and from school on public transport and when in taxis or ride share vehicles.

Check ins

  • All visitors to the school are required to check in using the QR code available for scanning outside both front office doors.  All visitors, including parents, must check in using the QR code system or the alternate manual check in system.
  • Parents picking up or dropping off students do not need to check in unless they enter one of the school buildings.
