Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

What a joy it is to have all of our students back at school face to face. We can now start to enjoy more activities together as a community.

Our first activity for the week started last Tuesday with our annual Book Week parade and activities. It was wonderful to see how enthusiastic the children and staff were in dressing up as their favourite book character including our senior students. Thank you to Mrs Dunn for organising the day for us.

Last Thursday 11th November was Remembrance Day, where on the 11th hour, a minutes' silence is observed and dedicated to those soldiers who died fighting to protect our nation.

Each year we commemorate this day with a para-liturgy. It is a very moving ceremony and the children always show such reverence. Thank you to Mrs Maher for preparing the para-liturgy and for leading our children.

Last Friday marked our first transition morning for our 2022 Prep students. We have 10 students joining our Prep class for next year.  It was also an opportunity for our Year 5/6 students our future leaders to meet their Buddies as part of our Buddy Program. Thank you to Mrs Maher and Talia for running our first session. These sessions will run each Friday until the end of Term.

Kind regards

Mrs Thomson

Principal
