Computer Collection

Trinity College Student Computer Collection - Year 7 and 10 students Thursday, 2nd December:

Trinity College will be collecting the Trinity owned computer from Year 7 and 10 students on Thursday, 2nd December. Please ensure that all components are returned to the College on this day, including the bag, stylus, charger and the computer.

Collecting this computer will allow our College’s IT Department to conduct a physical check of the computer, check for any outstanding system updates and to perform a test and tag of the computer to meet our compliance requirements.

It is important to remember that the computer and all accessories remains the property of Trinity College and any damage requiring repair or intentional graffiti to computers will incur an excess charge of $100 per incident.

The College owned computer can be collected from the St Joseph’s Resource Centre at Trinity College on 1st February 2022 for Year 7 students and on 8th or 9th of December 2021 for Year 10 students.

Please contact the ICT department via email it.admin@tcc.vic.edu.au should you have any follow up questions regarding this or if your child will be away on Thursday, 2nd December.

Canteen Volunteers Needed

We will be sending a survey to families seeking volunteers to help out with our canteen in 2022.

The canteen is managed by Jo Carmichael who relies greatly on the assistance of parent volunteers. The support and work of all those parents who volunteer their time is greatly valued and is certainly appreciated by all that use the canteen.

We are asking parents and carers to consider volunteering some time to this valuable service. Volunteers would be required to start at 9:45am and finish at 2:20pm, working alongside our Canteen Manager and Assistant.

During your shift, you will usually have a break between 12:00pm and 1:50pm. Once a month is all that is requested. Alternatively, you may prefer to volunteer as an emergency ‘fill in’. Fathers/grandparents are also most welcome to volunteer.

Please note that all volunteers in schools are required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC), which can easily be obtained by filling out an application form online at http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/ and will need to complete an OHS Induction. As a volunteer, there is no financial cost in obtaining the WWCC. However, there is a requirement to attach a photo of yourself to the form. Under the COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination directions issued by the Victorian Chief Health Officer, schools must ensure that all visitors and volunteers who attend to perform work must comply with vaccination requirements. All volunteers will be required to provide evidence prior to commencement that they are fully vaccinated.

Year Books

The College Year Book has been delayed and will be distributed to families as soon as possible.

As in previous years each family will receive one copy and additional copies may be purchased.

We will provide further information on this closer to publication.

Year 8 Excursions

As part of our Geology and Aboriginal Studies unit we have two excursions coming up. The first one is on Tuesday the 30th of November and second one on Wednesday the 1st of December.

The year level will be split so half will go to Tower Hill and the other half will go to Mt Elephant and then onto Mt Shadwell Quarry for some rock fossicking.

Students will need to bring their lunch, snacks and water on both days as there will be no access to shops.

They will be wearing their PE uniform as there is some walking involved on both days and they will need to bring their hats.

Any questions please contact Jane Hawker at jhawker@tcc.vic.edu.au.
