Earlier this year, Amelie was also part of the Tasmanian Women's State Countries team that competed at the Australian Country Championship in May on the Gold Coast. Tasmania played off for a bronze medal but unfortunately lost by one goal in the last 20 seconds of the match. Best of luck for 2022!

Isobel Lobban and Molly Topham (Year 11), who have had their artwork selected to feature in ArtRage 2021.

Jack Kilgour (Year 1), who will also be competing at the Junior Futsal Championships following his successful selection in the U8 southern Tasmanian futsal team. Jack has worked very hard to make the team after blitzing the talent identification program.

This was James' first competition outside of Tasmania, and his resilience and determination saw him forge ahead to overcome many challenges on the day, which should be a great source of pride for him.

Taylah (Year 9) and Macey Hayes (Year 2), who competed in their last judo competition for 2021 at Ulverstone on Sunday 14 November.

Both girls won old in their division, with Macey also taking out the U11 division. We're looking forward to watching this unstoppable sister duo continue to grow and succeed in judo in 2022.

Lauren and Abbey have also been selected for the finals of the BHP Foundation Science and Engineering Awards for their project.

Chloe Brittain (Year 9), who has been named as a winner of the Frank Macdonald Memorial Prize. The essay-based competition commemorates and preserves the meaning of the ANZAC spirit in the Tasmanian community.

Chloe will join 12 other Year 9/10 students from around Tasmania on a 10-day study tour in 2022, travelling to sites and landmarks of war time. We are very proud of Chloe and we are looking forward to hearing about her research into an Australian soldier with a connection to St Mary's College.

Alice Stanford (Year 6), who has been selected to represent Tasmania in the state U14 water polo team in Melbourne for a week in January 2022.
