Dear families and friends,

I really can not believe this is the last newsletter for 2021. On behalf of ALL our St Gabriel’s staff we would like to THANK YOU for your love, care and kindness over 2021. We can not express our gratitude enough. You, your families and your children have shown up in times of uncertainty and given your best to all of the new experiences that were thrown at us... You have shown up with fun, joy and a commitment to learn and grow.

To our Year 6 children and families, I wish you well as you embark on the next phase of your educational life. I am very much looking forward to our Graduation liturgy Wednesday night. This year I will be sharing my time between both schools as we celebrate.

For our Year 6 children: The world is waiting for you to put to action all that you have learned and much more.  Your adaptability; the world will call on that many times in your life.  Your resilience; we know some things don't go to plan, but importantly we know you can regroup and redesign. Your courage and determination; you showed us these qualities this year in bucket loads. Your lives will call on these traits many times, remember how brave and courageous you can be.

We acknowledge and thank you for the way you have led our Primary school during this past year. It is our sincere hope that you all feel prepared and ready for the new transition from the familiar faces and surroundings of Primary school, to the new routines, teachers and classmates of Secondary school.

We feel very confident you are ready because we know the wonderful support and love your parents,  your teachers and the teachers before them have given you. We have seen the great leadership you have shown throughout the years and we got to see you managing yourselves in an independent and mature manner throughout the year.  Be bold, be brave and most importantly be you!!

2022 School Leaders (announced at the final assembly at 9.10am Wednesday 15th December)

A huge congratulations to our 2022 Leaders. We feel so very proud you felt brave and confident to put yourselves forward to lead our amazing community in the following areas. Leadership is not the badge - it is the way you stand with others, the way you walk to the side, the front and behind others. It's having a voice when others may not be able to. It is the energy and love you bring and show. It is learning new ways and being open to many ways of doing things. You are all just perfect fits.

Hello!

We welcome our last pieces to the puzzle - Cait Ryan will join us in our 1/2 area of the school. Rosetta will join us as our Italian teacher...

Farewell

After many years we say Goodbye to Natalina Paglianiti. Natalina will be very missed, her experience and influence will remain within the school for many years. As we change our specialist days to Wednesday and Thursday - Natalina shares her time between two schools and these days unfortunately overlapped. This is very sad for us. We wish Natalina every blessing and success in her new role. Thank you so much Natalina for all your amazing contributions to our community - you will be greatly missed.

I hope you all have a break - enjoy the freedom of being out and about.

Many blessings,

Gemma
