From the Principal

What a fortnight it’s been! Highs and lows and everything in between, but I am proud to say we are approaching it all with the positivity that our MAG school community is known for.

As you will know from our earlier communications, today we were notified that a Year 4 student tested positive to COVID. We have undertaken contact tracing and this is currently being reviewed by the Association of Independent Schools. We are waiting for approval from authorities before sending out any further communications to families and staff - please keep an eye on your emails. Cleaning of the class room and other key areas is being undertaken by a cleaning contractor this evening.

We understand this may be an anxious time for many in our School Community, please reach out for support or to discuss concerns if needed.

On a much brighter note, we are very excited to announce that for the first time in the School’s history, a third Kinder class will be offered in 2022. This decision has been based on the growing demand for places and many new families expressing interest in joining the MAG community. We are delighted to be able to grow with the community and offer quality education in a supportive environment.

If you or someone you know has a child entering Kinder/Prep in 2022 and would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please contact Lou Kennaugh at registrar@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au.

Finally, our Year 12 students have commenced their final HSC examinations earlier this week. They are undertaking the exams off-site and we wish them all the very best – they have put in all the hard work already and I’m sure their efforts will pay off.

Take care everyone,

Carmel Spry
