Hi all
The Winter Lightning Premierships were held today a various local venues. Our mixed soccer and our girl's t-ball teams won their Chelsea District finals and both teams have qualified for the next level the Kingston Division finals. Thank you for the parents who were able to make it down to support our kids on the day.
I was fortunate to be at the t-ball. The boy's team improved as the day went on. They narrowly lost one of their prelim games but then won their play off for third place comfortably. Xavier and Gab were both very good. The girl's t-ball team were a bit of an afterthought due to us having too many girls but "The Bad News Bears" took to the game like a duck to water. They hit well, they fielded well and they really communicated well. They learned the game quickly and their strategic thinking was really got them the title. Well done to Matilda and Abbey in the field and Holly with her powerful batting.
The big Athletics Day is only a few more sleeps away. Lets pray the weather is going to be ok for late June as we run, jump, throw ourselves around Dolamore Reserve, Mentone. Again, feel free to come down and have a look, even if it is just during the lunchbreak.
