From the Middle Years Leader 

Music

This term we were very lucky to have had visits from the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra (ASO) composers. Julian Ferraretto and Emma Gregan worked with our students on the 'Silos & Symphonies' project, which will be premiered at the ASO concert at Peterborough Town Hall on 8th October, 4.30pm. Students involved will receive a complimentary ticket. We also had a second visit from the Defence Force Recruiting for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, which were received with much welcome and interest. 

In music this term, the 7/8 students are working on learning basic musical notation. We are also focusing on our singing and keyboard skills, apart from training our eyes in our aural exercises. In German, we are learning to use phrases and words we have learned in practical contexts. Years 9/10 civics & citizenship students are learning about our different levels of government, as well as the structure and function of the South Australian parliament.
