Vet for 2023

Current year 10 students will be asked next week if they want to commit to a Vet Course for next year. Students need to be in Year 11 to qualify to enrol in the Vet course and the courses we have offered face to face here at PHS have taken 18 months to complete.

Students need to register with me their desire to do a Vet course next Year, but the course will only be able to go ahead if we can get the number of participants that Tafe require to for them to send a Lecturer up here to our trade school to run the course.

At this stage we potentially will offer both Certificate 2/Light Vehicle Auto Servicing and Certificate 2 Engineering Pathways to be delivered in the Trade School here at PHS. Both of these Vet Courses will get the student SACE credits as well and the potential to get the number of SACE Credits will be reflected in the number of subjects students will choose. Students would come out of class for 1 day a week to attend their Vet Course and undertake to catch up any work missed.

There is still the opportunity for Students to join the class if it is running at the beginning of 2024 but they would need to commit to a year 13 of schooling to successfully complete the course.

Enrolments in the above 2 courses are open to community members and in the past this is how we have been able to get the numbers we need to run the course.

If you have any questions or want to clarify the details around the vet Course please contact me at PHS on 8651 2306.
