As many parents, caregivers and players would be aware, last week was a very sad week for cricket with the passing of Phillip Hughes, who was an incredibly talented and dearly loved member of the Australian, South Australian and Adelaide Strikers squads and a former NSW representative.  Phillip will forever be remembered as one of the elite few to have worn the Baggy Green cap – cap 408 to be precise.  As did LNPS, many school cricket teams played their matches as per schedule on the weekend in Phillip's honour and, as a show of respect, many teams wore black arms bands and held a minutes silence.  Vale Phillip Hughes.
