3rd-10th July

NAIDOC Week, Sunday 3 July – Sunday 10 July, - is a time to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, their contributions to our nation and the continuations of the oldest living culture on Earth.

The theme this NAIDOC Week, Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!, asks us to continue to push for systematic change, to rally alongside our community and to keep supporting our first nations people by striving for change.

This year NAIDOC week was held over the school holidays.  As a school community we recognise the importance of NAIDOC week.

A big thank you to our neighbours and members of the school  community who continually ‘watch over’ the school during holiday  periods.  Your willingness to keep an eye on the school and report any incidents is appreciated.

Also, thank you to Glenn and Paul for preparing the courtyard for the works that was done over the holiday with Flexitec laying down rubber and making downball courts it has most certainly improved and makes the courtyard look amazing.

Kew Traffic School

On Friday 17th June the Prep and Grade 1 students caught a bus to Kew Traffic School to participate in range of road safety sessions. Students participated in an interactive education presentation followed by a guided walk around Kew Traffic School to discuss safety features and practice safety as a pedestrian. Children then got to practice safety as cyclists by riding around the track on a bike, following the direction of the road and road signs. The students loved exploring the little village and playing in the shops. The highlight of the day was definitely driving through the Eastlink Tunnel on the Eastern Freeway.

Colour Run

The Colour Run was held last term on the 20th June and the students staff and parents had a blast of a time. What a colourful day. Thank you to all the parents and staff who helped out making the event a success. A special thank you to Balloon Glamour for supplying the fantastic balloon arch.
