Check out all the amazing things we are doing in Grade 6!

Numeracy

So far this term we have been learning about angles. We revisited right, acute & obtuse angles & introduced straight, reflex & full rotations. The class was given the opportunity to take photos of different angles that they could find around the school & sort them according to their size. We also used protractors to measure angles and began learning about how to measure vertically opposite angles.

Literacy

This week in Literacy we have been working on how to write procedural text. The student wrote a piece on how to play one of their favourite Maths games, they had to include the materials needed and the steps involved. 

The students also received their writers notebooks. Their writers notebooks are use to as a creative tool for the students to put their finalised pieced of writing, and use imagery that they can reflect on for inspiration within their writing. 

Soundwaves

This week in Soundwaves the students have been looking at the oa,o_e,ow and o sound.

Kinder Visit! 

We also had the children from the kinder come and visit us at school! The Grade sixes set up activities, and spent some time playing games and getting to know the kinder kids!
