The canteen has a new name!
Thankyou to everyone who entered the competition to name our school canteen. There were some fantatic suggestions. Our students voted for their favourite name and the winning name is... 'The Fatima Star Kitchen'! Congratuations to Kai, Marcus and Larissa - a real team effort! You will receive a canteen voucher to spend at the canteen.
Canteen logo competition
Now it is over to you! Entries are open to create a logo design and banner for our new canteen! All students are invited to enter. The winning design will be turned into posters and digital art for the website and other digital platforms! Entries close on August 23rd. Please email your entry to gcarr@fatimarosebud.catholic.edu.au or bring in a hard copy to the office.
Buddy bench and giant outdoor games - coming to Fatima.
There has been much excitement amongst the students as we look to spend the money raised at our Crazy Colour Fun Run. Thanks to the fundraising efforts and generosity of our students, parents, family and friends we raised $19,226. Some of the many purchases across the school year will include a custom designed Buddy Bench with the Fatima star logo. Buddy Benches are a welcoming space in the school that foster friendships.
We are also purchasing giant outdoor games, which will be used during our lunchtime club. These games encourage inclusion and socialisation on the yard, as well as develop motor and logic skills while playing. Recently, all students were actively involved in the decision regarding the selection of these games that best fit our school. The students are pleased to announce that the following games will soon be making their way to our lunchtime club: Wooden Mega 4, Monster Tumbling Tower Bricks, Giant Chess and Checkers, Giant Wooden Noughts and Crosses and Giant Chinese Checkers.
