Structured Workplace Learning

Currently, the Year 11 and Year 12 students are on Structured Workplace Learning (SWL). Students participate in two placements at the end of Term 2 and at the end of Term 3. The aim of SWL is for students to get practical experience in their chosen career field. This is also viewed as a way for students to experience “job hunting” and develop the necessary employability skills. Structured Workplace Learning experiences for the students have included the building and construction industry, plumbing companies, theatre technician work, cafes, bakeries, hospitality, childcare, retail, administration work and in the engineering industry.
