Student Mid- Year Reports

The Student Mid-Year Reports will be available via Compass on Friday afternoon, 17 June. Please take time to read these reports and share the information with your child. It is important that each of the students and their families are able to celebrate the achievements that have been made over the last 6 – 12 months. In most cases, the progress made by students will have been significant or steady. However, in some cases, due to disrupted learning over the last two years some students may have plateaued and not made significant progress. The school is working hard to ensure that all students build momentum in their learning. This is being achieved through the work of classroom and specialist teachers who create and develop programs to support students at their point of need. This work is supplemented by the valuable work of the support teachers, the educational support staff members and the Teachers of the Deaf. In all instances the school is working hard to identify individual learning needs and to provide all of the extra assistance that each student may need.

Parent Teacher Interviews

The Parent/Teacher Interviews are an important part of the reporting process. As an adjunct to the Student Mid-Year Reports, the Parent/Teacher Interviews allow teachers and parent to identify learning gains made in the first semester and to set goals for the remainder of the year. Please read the report in preparation for the interview. We have taken the decision to conduct the interviews via Webex on Monday 20 and Tuesday 21June in the afternoon and evening. Please make sure that you have booked a time to participate. With the wintry weather at the moment, I am sure that everyone would appreciate not having to wait in the corridor or outside the classrooms for their interview time. Webex interviews also allow families to join in the interview from home.

Thank you also to all Year 1 teachers, educational support staff members and the Teachers of the Deaf who supported the students in preparation and performance. The Art Show will be held in the two Art Rooms over three days and I encourage all community members to come along and view the Art Show.
