AEP Dance

By Emily Bleeker

On Sunday June 5th, the senior AEP Dance students competed in their first dance competition for the year, performing a modern take on a Charleston jazz routine at the Dance Life United event. The routine was definitely a showstopper and the audience loved it! We were thrilled to receive an award of ‘highly commended’ from the judges, and even a phone call from the competition organisers the following week to reiterate how much they loved the group’s energy.

Congratulations to Bianca, Catherine, Natalie, Sienna, Kayla, Hannah, Ashleigh and Catherine for representing the school with pride and absolutely shining on stage! Their hard work in AEP Dance is paying off and I am seeing huge improvements in their dance technique, stage presence, and confidence, as the year goes on.

Enrolments for Term 3 are open now if you’d like to join the AEP Dance team! Students from all year levels are welcome, and free trial classes can be arranged if you want to test it out. Just email parkdale.sc@education.vic.gov.au for more information and your message will be passed on to me.

I hope to hear from you!
