Year 11 News
Year 11 Biggest Morning Tea
On Thursday, year 11 students organised the Biggest Morning Tea to raise funds for the Cancer Council. It was a very well organised event with many teachers and students enjoying some delicious treats. The party pies and sausage rolls were a real hit, as was the addition of the cheese toasty to the menu. The strength of the cardboard plates was tested by many of the students who stacked them extremely high. Thanks to all the staff that helped out and a special thanks to Mr Colins and Mr M Howard for their hard work in putting the event together. Great job.

Year 11 Biology Excursion
On Thursday, over 60 year 11 students from 3 Biology classes visited Taronga Zoo to conduct some field studies. Students were able to view a number of talks and enjoy some hands-on experiences. By all reports, our students were very well behaved and had a great day. Thanks to all staff who did buddy covers to help make this excursion happen. A big thanks to the teachers for organising and supervising Great job to Ms Palumbo, Mr Clough and Mrs Hoang.
School Attendance
At Cecil Hills High School, we know the value of regular attendance. There is also an overwhelming body of research that illustrates the benefits of regular attendance. Ultimately, students that attend regularly achieve better results and are more well-rounded students. Importantly, the students that attend often also turn out to be the most valuable employees.
We understand that students get sick, and there has been COVID 19 and a nasty flu that has been affecting students and families. However, if your children are well, please encourage them to attend school every day, on time.
