Staff update

Claire Tyrrell

Claire Tyrrell is leaving Shelford at the end of the term, to take up a role much closer to home. She has been teaching our Year 7 and 8 Food Tech students. Claire is enjoying teaching at Shelford very much, but also travelling each day from Langwarrin which, with a very young family, has become unsustainable for her. We wish Claire all the best and thank her for her professional and engaging teaching. Mel Ranieri and Cath Freney will be taking on Claire’s Food Tech classes in Semester 2.

Jacqui Green

Jacqui, one of our psychologists at Shelford, is leaving us at the end of term, after five years of dedicated service. Jacqui is moving away from clinical work and taking on a role as an educator and lecturer at the Cairn Millar Institute. We are very excited for her as she embarks on this new phase of her career and extremely grateful for her kindness, support and hard work, especially over the last two and a half years, through the pandemic. Charlotte Edmonds and Judy McKay will be working with Jacqui to ensure a smooth transition for our students and families alike and providing coverage over five days.

Jane Mu

Jane has been working at Shelford this semester, supporting our EAL students and teaching the Chinese Club students. We have enjoyed having Jane and benefiting from her experience and skills. In Semester 2, we will be welcoming Audrey Li back into this role following maternity leave, so we say farewell to Jane at the end of the term and thank her for her contribution to our wonderful school.
