Year 10 and 11 examinations

Congratulations to our Year 10 and 11 students for completing their examinations last week. Examinations are a very important part of our students learning experience as they prepare them for the VCE external examinations, but also importantly:

  • encourage them to develop revision techniques that lead to longer-term learning
  • provide them with the experience to recall knowledge and apply it under timed conditions
  • learn the skill of sitting and writing for an extended period.

Upon receiving their exams back from their teachers, our students are encouraged to reflect upon their strengths and weaknesses. When errors are made, it provides a wonderful opportunity for self-reflection and enables students to determine what learning behaviours should be continued or changed for Semester 2. As always, our teachers are here to actively support and guide our students in regard to any key learnings they may need to reflect upon, as well as suggesting changes that can be applied to their learning in the future.

Subject selection process 2023

As we approach the end of Term 2, we begin the process of subject selections for 2023. While 2023 may seem to be in the distant future, it is important that we spend time preparing students and their families in the decision-making process.

Our first webinar is the 2023 VCE Subject Selection Information Evening for our current Year 10 and 11 families. This is an important evening where key information about VCE is provided and pathways are discussed. Subject selection evenings will also be conducted for Years 8 to 10 2023 via webinars on the following dates:

  • Monday 20 June – Year 10 2023
  • Thursday 21 July – Year 9 2023
  • Thursday 28 July – Year 8 2023
