Performing Arts update

We are certainly sprinting to the end of the term, it has been a joy seeing our performing arts students across the whole school being active in Music and Drama. A big congratulations to our Junior School students, Karla Nyhuis, Jenni Thom and Kelsey Holden for all the hard work preparing The Lion King Jr. I am looking forward to the performances on Wednesday and Thursday next week. Flinders Quartet

Recently we were lucky to have the Flinders Quartet visit Shelford. The Flinders Quartet are an internationally renowned string quartet, with performances recently in Sweden and Finland along with ARIA nominations for their album releases. The group conducted a workshop with our Senior String Quartet. They also performed to our Junior School and Year 7 and 8 students.

Years 5 and 7 Band Program

The Years 5 and 7 Band Program had their first performances last week and I would like to congratulate both students and staff for their fantastic performances.

House Performing Arts

HPA rehearsals are in full swing this week, please check the rehearsal schedule on Shelly. The HPA will be held on Friday 29 July at 7pm in the Shelford Hall, more information about tickets will be coming out in the coming weeks.

VCE Music Recital 

Students in the VCE Music Performance Unit 1 and 3 classes will be performing in the Hall on Tuesday 14 June at 4pm.

Year 8 Extension Music Recital 

Students in the Year 8 Extension Music classes will be performing on Wednesday 15 June at 7pm in the Shelford Hall. Please note students will need to arrive by 6.30pm.
