DIGITAL DESIGN

The Digital Design course is for students who have an interest in the design process using computer software. Students learn about image manipulation and design for webpages and games using Photoshop. They also learn how to design and develop websites with online design tools for site maps and layout diagrams using creation tools like Google Sites. They explore 3D drawing skills using computer software to design models to specifications and apply these skills in 3D printing. The course develops universal skills in drafting, designing and problem solving.

This term in Digital Design, students have been learning about the 3D printing process. They sourced a 3D print file and printed a character of their own choosing, going through the steps involved in the process and documenting it as a digital infographic and research booklet. Students were very excited to take home their final project.
