Salvado Day

On  Tuesday 28 February we celebrated Salvado Day with a College Mass, having the Year 1 to Year 9 students in attendance. Salvado Day celebrates the life and achievements of the College patron, Bishop Rosendo Salvado. March 1 is the official day of celebration of Bishop Salvado as it marks his birth and also the foundation of the Benedictine community at New Norcia. 

Project Compassion

Last week each family received a Project Compassion donation box. Families are encouraged to work together to add small amounts to the box throughout Lent – perhaps the change from a purse or wallet, or children could donate some of their pocket money.The theme for Caritas’ 2023 Project Compassion appeal is ‘For All Future Generations’. Funds raised during the annual Caritas Australia Project Compassion Appeal help to bring thousands of Australians together in solidarity with the world's poor to help end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity. Further information about what to do with the donations from your Project Compassion box will be shared later in the term.
