1A - Miss Morrison

Maths Games

We have been learning and playing some new maths games in 1A. This is a great way to reinforce concepts taught and to revisit our number facts. Some of the games we have played are Go Fish, Number Snake and Order Order. All you need is a deck of cards – ask us how to play and we can teach you!

1B - Mr Purcell

We have continued our busy start to the year in 1B. In Writing we have been creating recounts about our weekends, using sentence starters like First, Next and Then. In Maths we have been ordering numbers from smallest to largest, using language like larger, smaller, greater than and less than. We have also thought about the important values that a good friend should have.

1C - Mr K

This week in 1C we have been doing many hands-on Mathematics tasks that the students have enjoyed. It is wonderful to see students working so well together and understanding the concepts put to them. Here you can see the two groups grasping the ‘Greater than', 'Less than' and Equal to symbols! Great work 1C.
