Celebrating our fabulous Foundies!

FA - Miss Zoe

In maths, the children have been enjoying learning all about numbers with a range of hands-on activities. Here Laylah is using the finishing-off shelf number puzzles after she had completed her work!

In Literacy, we have been learning all about the letter ‘T’. Isabelle did a great job with her handwriting book and learnt how to trace ‘in the lines’ and ‘on the lines’. The children all love the quiet music and the special light-up cloud (a night light) that sits on their table if they are working hard!

As part of our Literacy morning block students have been practising tracing and writing their name and numbers 1-10. Capital letters are much easier to write as they are mostly straight lines so we have been practising our lower-case letters which can be tricky to do, but WOW I have been so impressed with everyone’s efforts. Have a look at Jessie and Lachlan's super work!

Foundation B have loved our hands-on maths sessions this week! They have loved making, naming and recording numbers up to 10 in many different ways. Students enjoyed these rotations and were superstars at writing the numbers on their own! They have enjoyed using little poems to help them remember how to write numbers. Such as, ‘Down and across and down once more, that’s the way to make a 4!’ and ‘Across to Sarah and down to Pevan, that’s the way to make a 7!’ Have a look at some of FB’s awesome maths work!
