Parents & Friends

Come and find out about the Parents and Friends Association (P&F)

Ormond Primary School has a strong Parents and Friends Association, which helps run events at the school that foster a sense of belonging and community, while also raising much needed funds for the school. If you are interested in finding out more about the Parents and Friends Association and ways to become involved, please come along to our next monthly meeting, which will be held on Tuesday 7th March at 7:30pm in the staff room (just enter the school via the Office and head to the right through the library area).  Everyone is welcome! Please email Heather Hosken  if you would like further details.

Welcome Picnic, Friday 17th February– bookings close this TODAY at 5:30pm!!

Welcome in the new school year and meet other families at our annual 'Rainbow Welcome Picnic', being held in the school grounds on Friday 17th February from 5:30pm onwards. Our Welcome Picnic is a great way to mingle with other parents and their children. You can bring along your own picnic food, drinks, picnic rug and chairs, or you may wish to use one of the two food trucks that will be on site selling pizza, ice cream and donuts. Tickets to attend this event are just $3 per person, with the money raised helping us to cover the cost of running similar events.

Students are encouraged to dress up at the picnic in their allocated year level colour:

  • Foundation - Red
  • Year 1 - Orange
  • Year 2 - Yellow
  • Year 3 - Green
  • Year 4 - Light Blue
  • Year 5 - Dark Blue
  • Year 6 - Purple

To attend this event, please book your tickets via the Trybooking link below:

Any questions please contact Heather Hosken

Please note: all food provided by the food trucks is cooked to order and some wait times will occur. It is recommended that you bring along additional picnic food if longer wait times will be challenging for your family members.

Icy Pole Days

In term one, P and F will be running two icy pole days where we sell icy poles to the students after lunch. The icy pole days are scheduled for February 24 and March 24. The icy poles are $1 each. Please ensure that your child brings in exact money as we are unable to provide change.

Perhaps you have specialist skills and you are willing to donate your time – we are always looking for people with fundraising or events experience, people who have graphic design skills and social media specialists.
