AROUND THE SCHOOL

We are never alone in sharing the faith, because it is the Lord with me who transmits the faith, and Jesus promised: “I will be with you every day until the end of the world.”

LAST CALL FOR FAMILIES WHO HOLD A HEALTH CARE CARD (in parent name

If you (the parent) hold a current HCC, please contact the office and we can assist you in obtaining a subsidy off your school fees.

APPROPRIATE SPORTS UNIFORM

We remind families that skort/skirt, basketball/soccer style shorts are not on our uniform list, so are not acceptable school sport/PE apparel.

Our uniform is royal blue rugby knit shorts.

Students at St Laurence’s are required to wear the uniform as set out in our policy and on the Uniform page of this bulletin. The wearing of the correct school uniform reflects a pride by the students in their school. Parental involvement in children wearing the correct uniform also reflects support of the school.

CARITAS AUSTRALIA  - PROJECT COMPASSION

Project Compassion is Caritas Australia’s main annual fundraising campaign. It mobilises Australians to raise much-needed funds to help alleviate poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity in the most vulnerable and marginalised communities in the world.

Held during Lent, the six-week period before Easter, Catholic schools, Parishes, and the wider Australian public participate in a diverse range of fundraising activities and events to support Caritas Australia’s programs both overseas and here with our First Australian partners.

Project Compassion is an extraordinary demonstration of the faith, empathy and generosity of our supporters. It is the lifeblood of Caritas Australia; without it, they could not do the vital work that they do.

The theme of Project Compassion is For All Future Generations.

In support of Project Compassion, donation money boxes have been sent out to families. There is absolutely no pressure to participate.  If you are, boxes would need to be returned by the end of term 1 please.  Any donation of small change would be appreciated.

PRAYER

I pray to You my Father above, that You influence all decisions I,

my family, and my friends make today. You're our pillar of support and we want You to support us throughout the day by giving us the capacity. God, we need You to back all actions and decisions that surround us today. Let positivity follow us, oh Lord
