3/4TR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION 

In Grade 3/4TR we have had an exciting start to our Religious Education Program.  

During Orientation Week we started a unit on Prayer. In this unit, the students explored how prayer is part of people’s lives. They shared their thoughts to the following questions: 

• What is Prayer? 
• Where do we pray?  
• Why do we pray? 
• How is prayer a part of your life? 
• What prayers do you know? 
• How do other people pray? 

Students explored and experienced a variety of ways to communicate with God through prayer. Students will come to understand that through prayer, people’s friendship with God grows.

Students will be exposed to many forms of prayer – personal, traditional and communal. Students will create and write their own individual prayers, they will learn traditional prayers and participate in guided meditation.

The students have started to participate in whole school meditation every Monday to Thursday from 2:20-2:25pm.

Meditation for Kids

Students have also participated in a Whole School Mass on Tuesday 7th February. Fr Trung celebrated the Mass with us in St James’ Church. Our entrance  song  was  ‘Welcome.’
