Principal's News

Mr Rodrigues

Dear Families,

Time flies when you're having fun, and when you're busy learning! We are already two weeks into the term and there is so much great learning happening in our classrooms and with our specialist teachers. It is great that our children can also tell me that they are having fun with their teachers and getting to know new friends. This week I have had a number of new families dropping in to enquire about enrolling their children, as they have either moved to Richmond from another suburb or newly arrived from overseas. Each of these have either heard from others about Trinity or seen our school video on our website and had a great feel for all we do here at Trinity. I am always very proud to know that we have such a welcoming community and that I can confidently assure new families that their children will be made welcome and well looked after academically, socially and spiritually.

We keep in our thoughts and prayers all members of our school community who may have relatives or friends affected by the terrible earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

Prayer: A Prayer for Turkey and Syria After the Devastating Earthquake

Lord,
You hear the cries of the many who are suffering from the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. We pray collectively for all those who know You, those who desire to know You, and those who do not know You. We pray for the thousands who have died who didn’t know Christ, and we pray for those who did. We pray for the families who have lost loved ones and those who don’t know if their loved ones are alive or dead. We pray for the first responders, both to save as many lives as possible and for their own well-being.
We pray for the strength of our brothers and sisters and for them to seek refuge in You.
We pray for all those who are searching for warm shelter in the midst of a cold, snowy winter. We pray that you open doors and provide resources such as food, shelter, and blankets. We pray for aid in an area that has been the victim of a decades-long war that already had limited infrastructure.
Lord, please guide our organizations to use their resources wisely to aid our suffering brothers and sisters in this heavily persecuted area.
Amen.

Parent Chats

Thank you to all our parents who were able to attend the Parent Chats today and those dropping in this evening. These opportunities are a vital step in strengthening the partnership between school and home and give our teachers a great chance to gain important information about each of the children they will teach in their classrooms.  If you were unable to attend and would like the opportunity to meet with your child's teacher please contact them by email to make a mutually suitable time.

Beginning of School Year Mass

A special thank you to Mr Ru who prepared our first Mass for the year and to all those parents who were able to join us. It was a wonderful way to start the year as a Catholic School Community and to ask our God for guidance and support as we work and learn together in 2023.

Year 6 Student Leaders

Congratulations to each of our Year 6 Student Leaders who were presented with their leadership badges earlier this week. Each of them has accepted the challenge and responsibility that comes with leadership and I am confident that each one of them will do their best to be a great role model for other students and a voice for all our children. Special thanks to Douglas who made the student pledge on behalf of all Year 6 students.

Community Calendar

Don't forget to keep up to date with all things happening at Trinity by checking our Community Calendar each week.

Trinity Fete -  Save the Date! Saturday 1st April 2023

Our Fete comittee have been very busy planning for the Trinity Primary School Fete to be held at the end of this term. As we know, Fetes can be a great way to raise funds for schools and other communities. However, whilst we do plan to raise some money for our school, our main focus is going to be to showcase our school to the wider community and share with others what we already know about the great community we have. On the day, there will be market stalls, activities, food and entertainment, as well as school tours for visitors and prospective new families. We are looking forward to a wonderful event and will continue to provide you with updates and requests over the coming weeks.

A message from theP&F

Parents and Friends

Hi everybody,
It's been a very exciting start to the year with the fete committee meeting on Wednesday. Thank you to those already signed up to be involved!! And a plea to those yet to do so! We will need a small army of helpers before the event with bake sale donations, site layout help, volunteers on the day to help with the sausage sizzle, bake sale, ticket sales... you get the idea! We need you!
Our sausage sizzle coordinator is Archie (for those that remember the wonderful sizzle she organised from the election day). Please don't be a stranger and put your hand up to help with the cooking/bread buttering/selling.
Our bake sale coordinator is Leonie and she also needs a small army of volunteers to not only bake the goods but to help man the stall on the day.
I understand your time is precious, but if you cannot donate to the day we would really appreciate it if you could offer your time for the day to help. It is going to be a wonderful and exciting event, but it cannot be run by a few dedicated volunteers - it's going to take all of us.
At this stage, if you can help out on the day, please reach out to me and I will direct you to the appropriate coordinator.
