FUNDRAISING FOR 2023
St Augustine’s has always had a great tradition for fundraising
The first Parents Fundraising and Social Committee was held on Wednesday. Our obvious aim is to raise money for the school and to improve facilities for the students, however we also see fundraising as great opportunity to bring the school community together.
We’ve created the Parents Fundraising 2023 Calendar of Events, which you’ll see in today’s newsletter. You’ll recognise many of the activities from previous years but we’re also hoping to include more social events for parents and families, which have the double benefit of raising money. More details will be provided as we get closer to each fundraiser throughout the year, but our first events are:
Tickets go on sale from Monday, 20th March and the raffle will be drawn on the last day of term, Thursday, 6th April.
Please have your donations in to the office by Wednesday, 29th March.
This year, the Parents Fundraising and Social Committee wants to make it easier for more parents to be involved in our fundraising activities. We understand there are many mums and dads who would like to help out, but who might not be able to attend committee meetings. That’s why we’re including a new section in the newsletter that we’ll use to call for volunteers for various fundraising tasks. First up, we’re asking for donations for this year’s Easter egg raffle, as well as volunteers to wrap the raffle prizes, sell raffle tickets and work in the uniform shop. See the new ‘Parent Volunteers – How You Can Help’ section below for more details.
Thanks to everyone who has already expressed interest in supporting our fundraising efforts for 2023. We’re really excited about the year ahead.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS – HOW YOU CAN HELP

• Selling raffle tickets at the Annual Family Picnic, Thursday 2nd March
• Wrapping Easter eggs for raffle: Thursday, 30th March; 9am.
• Working in the Second-hand Uniform Shop: Friday mornings; 8.20am-9am
• Selling Easter raffle tickets: Monday, 20th March–Wednesday, 5 April (more details to follow)
Preloved Uniform Shop
Washed donations are gratefully accepted. Please leave them in the hamper at the office.
Not all uniform items or sizes will be available but please continue to check as new items get donated and placed on the shelves.
All items are pre-worn and are $5.
Cash or Card accepted.
The shop is run by parent volunteers so all offers for help will be welcome.
Usual hours Friday morning 8:30 - 9:00
