ELLIE’S DRAGON

by Bob Graham

No friendship is imaginary! When Ellie is very little, she finds a newborn dragon fresh as an egg in the supermarket. He is so cute! She named him Scratch.  From that day on, Ellie and Scratch did everything together. Ellie's mum and her teacher could not see her new friend, but all her friends could. Surprisingly or not!? Over the years, Ellie's dragon grows to be big, well trained and very affectionate. Ellie is growing too! A moving story about the wonders of imagination and growing up.

BOOK REVIEWS!

THE STOLEN PRINCE OF CLOUDBURST

By Jacklyn Moriarty  and Illustrated by Kelly Canby

This is book #3 in the series.

You may already be familiar with books #1 and #2, ‘The Extremely Inconvenient Adventures of Bronte Mettlestone’ and ‘The Slightly Alarming Tale of The Whispering Wars’.

This is a CBCA 2021 shortlisted book for The Best Younger Readers Book. It is a big book! I mean it is a thick book so I was always putting it aside to read at a later date. Once I started reading I was hooked by the play of language used. It is a wonderful fantasy book. It is a joyous read, an absolute delight! It is about 3 sisters  looking for identity.

Long ago the little Prince of Cloudburst was stolen. Ten years later the Prince found his way back home. The King and Queen planned the biggest party ever to welcome him home again.

This is where the story begins!

Now read, ‘The Stolen Prince of Cloudburst’ to see where you will go in this fantasy!

The detailed maps and illustrations are a beautiful addition to the story.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

THE BAD SEED

By Jory John and illustrated by Pete Oswald

This is a great and humorous book about making good choices.

We can all learn a lot about ourselves from this new book.

There was a lot of discussion and examples shared by students about when they are a good seed and when they are at times a bad seed.

Can you think of a time when you were a good seed?

Can you think of a time when you were a bad seed?

This is a good read for all!

This new book is now in the BPS Library.
