Leadership

Welcome Back

Welcome back everyone, and I hope the holidays were as relaxing as possible. For me I spent some wonderful time visiting the Silo Art trail in the Wimmera region. Well worth a visit sometime in the future. Most likely, when we all get the jab, and those who run this great country show some real leadership!

Covid - 19 Current Conditions

As a schools will continue to provide on-site supervision for students in the following categories:

Children where both parents and/or carers are authorised worker  who cannot work from home, work for an essential provider and where no other supervision arrangements can be made:

  • Where there are two parents/carers, both must be authorised workers, working outside the home in order for their children to be eligible for on-site provision
  • For single parents/ carers, the authorised worker must be working outside the home in order for their children to be eligible for on-site provision.

Children experiencing vulnerability, including:

  • children in out-of-home care
  • children deemed vulnerable by a government agency, funded family or family violence service, and is assessed as requiring education and care outside the family home
  • children identified by a school as vulnerable, including via referral from a government agency, or funded family or family violence service, homeless or youth justice service or mental health or other health service.

As a school we will continue to prioritise children when decisions need to be made about access to on-site learning. We will as we have done in the past continue to consider family stress and provide support where required by families.

On-line Teaching

As Dan Andrews so eloquently described it yesterday. The same conditions apply as they did in lockdown #4. Teachers will arrange check ins and set tasks during the days we are lockdown.

If we do extend lockdown past next Tuesday, then we will review arrangements. If parents need any technical support please only contact via the mobile 0455417853. As a reminder Graeme will try to assist during school hours, but he will not be providing a 24/7 service.
