Sexuality Education workshops

A big thank you to all the families who participated in our online Human Sexuality family workshops. It was great to see so many of you engage in the discussions led by our presenter Sue Pain from About Real Life.

Due to privacy reasons, you can appreciate that these workshops were not recorded. We will host these workshops again in the future for families who are interested.

The following attachment contains a list of books that Sue recommends to begin/continue the conversation at home.

There are still some further resources to be shared so please stay tuned.

Our Classroom workshops will be offered in Term 3 for our Years 5 and 6 students.

These 50 minute - 1 hour workshops will be held on Monday in weeks 2, 3 and 4 of Term 3.

Further information about the content of these classes will be communicated to our 5/6 families via Operoo.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher conferences will take place on Wednesday 23rd June from 1:30pm.

These conferences will take place online via Google Meet. Each family will receive a link to access your child's conference from your child's classroom teacher closer to the day. Please use your personal account to access the conferences.

Our 5/6 students will be leading their own Student-Led conferences. We wish them luck as they showcase to their parents and teachers their learning from Semester One.

Specialist Digital Progress Portfolios

This year our portfolios have moved to an online space using Dojo Portfolios forPrep - Year 6.

Over the coming weeks you will receive one learning sample, each week, via Dojo Portfolio, for each of our specialist subjects. These learning samples will be sent home in a gradual release model. In week 10 in Term 2: Years 1/2 families will receive their portfolio samples via Dojo Portfolio.

Please note: Due to our lockdown period our Physical Education Dojo Portfolios will be sent home at the beginning of Term 3. This is to allow for extra learning time and preparation for their assessment task.

Each learning sample will contain a teacher comment that will link specifically to the success criteria for the task, and will provide you with where this work sample is placed in relation to the 5-point scale of Below Standard, Working Towards Standard, At Standard, Above Standard and Well Above Standard. Parent comments are encouraged and appreciated and can be completed on each of the learning pieces that you receive via Dojo Portfolio.

Please take the time to read, enjoy, view and celebrate the digital portfolio pieces with your child. They have worked extremely hard on their learning this term and will be excited to share this time with you.
