Sophie's Farm unaffected by typhoon!

We are pleased to share with you news, that the recent typhoon in the Philippines did not hit Sophie's Farm in Northern Samar. 

Current parent Meredith Kain shares a communication from Sophie's Farm about the recent typhoon in the Philippines...

I have had a number of people ask me about the effect the typhoon has had on the Sophie's Farm community.  You may, of course, have your own communication with them but I thought I would share the brief message I received from Syd (Sr Lydia's right hand man)...

"Hi Meredith.  Yep (the typhoon) missed us...Just raining here a lot.  The typhoon is up north.  Praying for those in its path.  This will make commodity prices go up since most of the produce, around 70%, comes from the north."

So, whilst the community has not sustained damage, many other communities have and the people of Sophie's Farm will find purchasing food to be more challenging than ever.
